Barely a week after the MEC for Education asked the Tsakane community to “not spoil” the new Menzi school that cost R100 million, the school was robbed of 185 tablets, eight computers, two projectors and three large computers. A Plasma TV and R500 cash were also carried away by the thugs.
The school building is apparently not severely damaged, but someone later said it was too early to predict whether the school would be robbed and plundered again.
It is not known whether the stolen goods like the tablets will be replaced, because the chances of it being stolen are quite large, it is said.
