A march is planned for February 24, 2017, where demonstrators will hand over their grievances to the Department of the Interior. Nigerians, Zimbabweans, and Pakistani illegal immigrants are being targeted.

Jobs losses and an increase in crime are attributed to these people.

The march will take place from Mamelodi, which means that the traditional black areas also want the foreign criminals out just as much as the traditional white communities.

The difference seems to be that the black communities will protest to voice their concerns. The cultural differences are that white communities do not rebel in a similar way, but apparently, such public action is the only way to draw attention to problems.
