On 23 March 2017 at about 01:00 a Clinic Road resident in Driefontein, Muldersdrift called for assistance on the WhatsApp group. A client of Drift Reaction cc on another property phoned in and reported that she received a call with screams for help and heard shots fired.
Although not a client of Drift Reaction cc the Iron Fist Squad K9 Unit immediately reacted.
On arrival they found that the tenant was shot in the arm and chest and was bleeding profusely.
According to his wife she heard a strange noise and her husband then went around the house (on the inside) and looked through the windows when he was shot in the arm through a closed window.
The suspects told him to open the front door which he did.
As he opened, one suspect fired more shots in his direction and he sustained a chest wound too. They quickly fled with a flat screen and cell phone. The suspects fired four shots in his direction.
The K9 Unit then tracked to Villa Road where the suspects’ scent was lost presumably because they fled in a vehicle.
Spoor was also found around the house and it seems there were four suspects and not three (only three entered the house).
They will shoot for no reason other than to kill. They have the element of surprise and they do not hesitate.
The victim was taken to hospital in a critical condition and we received feedback this afternoon that his condition is stable.
