On Friday evening, 30 November 2018, just before 23:00 tenants were overpowered in their cottage in Clinic road by between five to seven armed suspects. They were both tied up and household items were stolen. The suspects gained entry by removing the glass from the kitchen window. They fled through the window again.

Movement in the area has picked up quite rapidly. Numerous reports about barking dogs and suspicious people were received before and after the incident.
The Iron Fist Squad combed the area but the suspects were long gone in the vast veld area.
