On 26 May 2018, Boet Smal, who was in his seventies, was stabbed in his head and chest and died in his house on a smallholding in Heidelberg, Gauteng.
His wife Esther, in her sixties , was stabbed in the back and has been admitted to hospital.
Police are investigating the attack.
