A farm murder took place on 24 October 2020, on a smallholding in Nelsonia, Meyerton, in the Gauteng Province of South Africa. An elderly woman was found strangled to death with a scarf. The woman’s daughter had arrived to visit her mother on the morning of 24 October 2020, when the horrific discovery was made.
It is unclear at this stage what was stolen during the attack nor is it clear when the murder took place. The police are investigating but there have been no arrests. There is no other information available at this stage.
