A farm murder took place on 21 June 2020, at 03:00, in Buffelsdrift, in the Roodeplaat area of the Gauteng province of South Africa. Two men, Rudie Botha and his friend Edwin Kotze, were overpowered and attacked in their home on their smallholding at plot 44, by an unknown number of attackers.
The men were assaulted, tied up and Edwin Kotze was fatally shot during the attack. Rudie Botha managed to untie himself and escape.
There is no other information available at this stage. Police are investigating the attack, there have been no arrests.
