A farm attack took place on 14 November 2018, at 14h30 in Fochville, Gauteng province. Five black males surprised a woman in her 50s on their farm, shoved her around and tied her up. They demanded cash and firearms. Her 20 something daughter arrived, and was also tied up.

The suspects fled in the family’s car, a red, Hyundai Getz, registration DZ07WFGP. The daughter managed to free herself and press the panic button, and call her dad, who arrived shortly after. The two women are traumatised but not seriously injured.

No arrests have been made and police are investigating.
