Farm attack, couple (82), assaulted, tied up and robbed, Muldersdrift

A farm attack took place on Tuesday evening 27 October 2020, at 20:00, in Lindley, Muldersdrift, in the Gauteng province of South Africa. A well known landowner owner and his wife, both 82 years old, were overpowered, assaulted and tied up in their home. Three black attackers entered the home and attacked the elderly couple.

The attackers ransacked the home which was already packed up as the couple were preparing to move soon. Other than being severely traumatized, no serious injuries were reported.

Conserv security reported that crime continues to increase in the Muldersdrift area as serial farm attackers roam freely causing chaos, pain and suffering and that they are often all dressed alike, in blue uniforms, boots.

Soon after this farm attack a tourist industry close by in the Zwartkops area had a break-in, where it is thought that the same gang was involved. Numerous items, among other statues were stolen.

Police are investigating both cases, there have however been no arrests. There is no other information available at this stage.
