A farm attack took place on 22 September 2020, at 02:00, on a smallholding, at the Schurveberg General Dealer, in Middel Rd, Elandsfontein, in the Gauteng province of South Africa. A woman heard attackers breaking into her home and fled into a room, locked herself in and called for assistance. A neighbour who heard her screams responded and was shot at by the attackers.

A man who was in the home returned fire causing the attackers to flee. Other neighbours, on hearing the woman screaming and the shots being fired, raised the alarm. Spent cartridge’s were found on the scene and one round that was fired went straight through the woman’s bed.
