On Wednesday 21 June an elderly female victim (61) shot and killed an attacker on her farm in the Vereeniging area.
There was an exchange of gunfire as the victim tried to defend herself she shot and killed one of the suspects during the battle. The police reported that the suspect fired 12 shots at the victim.
The other suspect fled on foot.
The police are investigating the incident.
