Corruption: Three Johannesburg metro policemen arrested

Three members of the Johannesburg Metro Police are sitting in the cells in Hillbrow after bribing a Congolese shop owner. They demanded R20,000 from the shop owner who is suspected of selling false ID documents.

According to police officer Wayne Minnaar, three more officials will be arrested once their return from leave.

Political analysts say the corruption in the police service will not be terminated by Ramaphosa’s government as the screening and admission requirements are not of a high standard.
