There are times when communities cannot rely on the dependability of the police. There are times when the community must take steps to protect their environment and unfortunately, a community member became the victim.
A community member lost his life because he had no choice but to do the work of the police. The tragic death of Johnny Grobler (46), a member of the CPF community in Nigel, died when a gang of robbers opened fire on him and his colleagues.
Grobler was on patrol and near Shoprite when a man said they were just robbed by a gang of criminals, people lost their mobile phones, and money and some chased the gang.
