On Saturday 28-01-2017, a Community Police Forum member was shot during a business robbery in Nigel, and soon after succumbed to injury in hospital.
The Constable who responded to the business robbery was also shot but discharged from hospital after being treated for minor injuries.
It is alleged that suspects robbed the Skynet Internet Cafe at gun point. One of the suspects was found dead with a firearm next to him, another suspect arrested and one escaped.
A total of two firearms were recovered from the scene.
A search is underway for other suspects.
