One man was killed and another injured on the morning of 30 October 2020, at 09:00, following a cash-in-transit heist in Florida. ER24 paramedics arrived at the Hendrik Potgieter and Ontdekkers intersection to find an armoured vehicle on the side of the road. The rear of the vehicle had been blown open. On assessment, medics found that a security officer had sustained only minor soft tissue injuries. The man was treated and thereafter transported to a nearby hospital for further care.

After a short few minutes, ER24 paramedics were called to 14th Avenue for a shooting incident, believed to have been related to the cash-in-transit heist.

On scene, medics found a man lying inside a towing recovery vehicle. Assessments showed that he had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to his chest. Nothing could be done for him, and he was declared dead.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
