On 5 February 2019, at about 23:00 at Denne Road, Brakpan, police received a complaint of Business Robbery, during which a security guard was approached by two unknown male suspects who pointed him with a firearm, took his cellphone, tied him up and took him in to the guard room.
While doing so, other suspects were busy loading truck tyres worth R300 000 at the back of a truck. The next day on 6 February 2019, SAPS summoned the Trio Task team which followed up information that led to the arrest of three male suspects between ages 31 and 32, caught while driving the truck loaded with the tyres in Hospital Road, Brakpan.
Suspects will appear in the Brakpan Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
