The body of a woman was found this morning next to the R501 between Carletonville and Potchefstroom.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 06h52.
Upon closer inspection, paramedics discovered the body of a woman, believed to be in her 30s, lying on the side of the road.
Paramedics assessed the woman and found that she had sustained a wound to her neck and showed no signs of life. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for her and she was declared dead.
The exact details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
