BLF and Andile: Accessories to assault of white female advocate

The Black First Land First (BLF) party and its leader, Andile Mngxitama, must be charged as accessories in connection with the incident in which a female advocate of the Johannesburg Bar Council was verbally and physically assaulted in the Johannesburg High Court.

People wearing BLF T shirts made racist statements during the attack on the advocate, among other things, they said that being a white woman, she must bow before the black people of this country as she stole their land … and then she must leave the country. These statements echo the statements made by the leader of the BLF.

This goes to show that BLF supporters are acting on their leader’s hate speech and incitement to violence.

The Johannesburg High Court must now say what safety measures it will implement in order to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Disciplinary steps must be taken against the security guard who damaged the advocate’s equipment and then refused to provide his name. His actions brought about the whole racist incident.

The FF Plus will also write an official letter to the Minister of Justice to enquire what security measures are implemented at courts to ensure the safety of the public and legal staff.
