A music festival at the FNB stadium in Soweto called “Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100” gave youthful gangs the opportunity to rob spectators of mobile phones, jewelry, handbags and the like. Social media described the events as “shocking” with an unprecedented number of attacks and robberies and little SAPS presence to look after people’s safety.

Stabbings and brutal attacks were reported by many members of the public and organizers were “shocked” about the events. Tsotsi’s amongst others are responsible for the attacks.

SAPS Vish Naidoo declared “no way, only one robbery took place”. It sounds like something really fishy is going on.
