For the second year, people streamed to the FNB stadium where prayer’s went on asking for the end to violence and corruption in South Africa.

It is estimated that about 140,000 people filled the stadium and more than 40,000 who could not get seats were outside the stadium to hear the proceedings.

Only a handful of whites were present, and leaders of the Reformed Church and the NG Church participated in prayer.

The gathering of people took place on Sunday 25 November 2018, that is the national day for prayer, but millions of people in the country believe that every day of the year should be a day of prayer.
