According to reports, police are investigating a Broadband project at the Johannesburg City Council. Ayanda Dlodlo, Minister of Public Services and Administration, the Deputy Minister of Defense and Military Veterans Minister Kebby Maphatsoe are under suspicion.

The spotlight is also on the former diplomat Lerama Kekana. All the people were directors of CitiConnect Communications who worked with telecommunications company Ericsson.

The project, which would have cost R600 million actually drove the council out of R1,7 billion and is currently being investigated by US agents.

Dlodlo “payment”, according to her, amounted to R3 million and is apparently above suspicion.
