On Saturday, April 1, several suspects attempted to break through the kitchen door of a residence situated near Bronkhorstspruit and met by Kobus Stone armed with a handgun.
The suspects fled and are still at large.
Kobus was prepared for the attack as he had picked up signs (tracks) of suspicious activity on his property the day before. Signs were again found on Monday morning indicating suspects had returned Saturday night. Kobus knew what was going on around him and had a plan. He also prepared his family beforehand in case something like this happened.
