Front National invites bomber to commemoration service – time to apologise

Front National is extending an open invitation to mr Rashid Aboobaker Ismail of the South African Reserve Bank to attend the commemoration service for the victims of the Church Street bombing 32 years ago.

This will take place outside the Poynton Building, Church Street, Pretoria (between Bosman Street and Sophie du Bruyn Street) on Wednesday 20 May 2015 at 10 in the morning – the exact place where the bomb exploded 32 years ago killing 19 and injuring more than 200 people.

Many of the survivors will be attending the function. In the spirit of forgiveness and reconciliation, the expressed policy of the ANC at the Truth and Reconcilliation Commission in whose service Mr Ismail planted the bomb, we would like to invite him to show us that the ANC and he himself are dedicated to forgiveness and mean what they say.

He will be granted the opportunity to offer his apology to the victims who will be present. Mr Ismail’s safety will be guaranteed by police presence. We look forward to hearing from him. Confirmation can be given by phoning the organizer, Wessel Basson at 082 6555 395
