A 37-year- old rapist was sentenced by Bloemfontein Regional Court for raping two young boys. It was on 24 October 2017 when the accused saw the two boys playing near their homes in Bloemspruit Phase 10 when he lured the two boys aged 7 and 4 to the nearby bushes. The suspect raped the 7-year-old boy.
The suspect threatened to kill them if they would tell anyone and gave the boys each R5. Two days later on 27 October 2017, he called the same boys again and raped the 4-year-old boy and again gave them R5 each.
One of the boys told one of his friends about the ordeal and the friend informed the elders. Bloemspruit police were informed about the incident and the 37-year-old cow herder was arrested for two counts of rape.
The case was finalized in the Bloemfontein Regional Court and Lepita Nkoto (39), who is a Lesotho national, was sentenced to an effective 2 life terms imprisonment.
