The Hennenman Detectives and Crime Prevention worked round the clock on the night of 6 November 2020, after a farmer and his son were attacked at their farm in Swartpan. They conducted a crime intelligence led operation and arrested four suspects in Phomolong, Hennenman. The farmer, Pieter Hills (56) was shot in the head and his son, Eddie (26), was stabbed in the back when he arrived at the farmhouse.
One of the suspects aged 47 was found hanging in his cell in the early hours of 7 November 2020. The other three in their thirties will appear in Hennenman Magistrate court soon on charges of murder and house robbery.
