Farm attack, woman (62) hospitalised after brutal attack by farm worker, Trompsburg

A farm attack took place on Monday afternoon 2 July 2022, on the farm Straussfonteinin in Trompsburg in the Free State province of South Africa. Beminde Jacobs (62) arrived on the farm after a trip to Bloemfontein.

After she came out of the shower, she discovered one of the farm workers going through the drawers of the main bedroom, looking for something to steal.

Jacobs wanted to flee but she slipped and fell. The farm worker then violently attacked her. She was repeatedly brutally beaten, kicked, and strangled.

When Jacobs’s fiancĂ©, Flip Henning (78) arrived home, he discovered Beminde in a seriously injured state. She was admitted to the Life Rosepark hospital in Bloemfontein with broken ribs and a broken cheekbone. She is also in a severely traumatized state.

The farm workers were paid on the previous Saturday the worker who attacked Beminde was given an extra R100 to buy a bed.
Then on the Monday the same worker violently attacked Beminde.

The Police registered a case of attempted murder but could not find the suspect.

Johan Fourie (71) and his wife Cecile (72), also of Trompsburg were brutally murdered in 2012. They were hacked to death in their farm house with an axe in 2012.
