Farm-Murder List found with arrested farm-attacker, Free State police: lists names of murdered farmers Johan and Cecile Fourie of Trompsburg.
Pieter Steyn of Volksblad Afrikaans daily reports on October 26 2012 that farm-community leaders discussed a ‘murder-list for farmers’ which has apparently come into their possession after the arrest of a farm-attacker recently.
The list was discussed with the top management of the Free State SAPS, reports Steyn. “It’s not known if the list can be linked to the ‘Izinyoka (Snakes) gang which is waging such a reign of terror on Trompsburg smallholdings and farms,’ he writes. However on this list apparently also were the names of Johan and Cile Fourie and farmer Flip Henning of Trompsburg.
