Violent criminals amongst more that 70 arrested, KWT

More than Seventy suspects were arrested in King Williams Town area for various crimes ranging from assault, robbery, drunk and disorderly, theft, robbery with firearm, drunken and driving, stock theft, contravention of Protection order, burglary residential , burglary business, fraud, house breaking, rape and murder.

Police members have joined together in fighting crime and they managed to arrest suspects and are continuing with operations to prevent crime. Kei Road SAPS arrested an African male for murder, it is alleged that Police received a complaint about a man who was found by a resident in her yard stabbed on the neck. On arrival Police found the man on the ground holding his neck and when asked who stabbed him he mentioned the suspect’s name and after few minutes he died on the scene.

Thorough investigation led Police to arrest the suspect. Police also recovered stolen property and dangerous weapons were confiscated.

King William’s Town Cluster Commander Brigadier Luntu Ngubelanga commended the members for their hard and excellent work they do to reduce the level of crime in King William’s Town and surrounding areas. He also thanked the community for sharing valuable information with SAPS and encouraged them to report any criminal activities to 08600 10111.
