Man found guilty for the murder of farmer Schalk Featherstone

On Monday, March 13, in the Grahamstown High Court Judge Shirley Tilana-Mabece found there was overwhelming evidence against Winston Booysen (23). Booysen was found guilty on two counts of murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances.

75 Year-old farmer, Schalk Featherstone, of Aberdeen in the Eastern Cape was shot and murdered in cold blood in his house on 3 December 2015. Read the story – Final call for help before farmer was shot dead

After Booysen was found guilty of murder, Jeanine Ihlenfeldt, daughter of murdered farmer Schalk Featherstone said: “he ruined the lives of two families, and that the community must be protected forever against such a person”.
