On 6 September 2018, an alert off duty police officer saw a person near the Cofimvaba hospital. He stopped his vehicle and noticed that the person fits the description of Ryan Meyer who was reported missing yesterday. He was cold and wet and the police officer immediately proceeded to the Cofimvaba hospital where staff on duty attended to him.

He immediately informed his station commander and informed him of the person that he has found and took to the hospital.

On arrival at the hospital the station commander met a very happy Ryan who continued giving hugs.
The management of the SAPS express their sincere appreciation to the community for their involvement in tracing Ryan.
