Wilson Bayly Holmes-Ovcon (WBHO) reported in a media that the country’s loss of skilled, offshore-skilled staff has accelerated dramatically.

The difficult conditions in the construction industry have made well-trained staff decide to go elsewhere in the world because of the uncertainty in the economic conditions of South Africa.

The allegation is made that the political situation in SA is such that it has a negative impact on skilled and trained staff, who are now leaving the country at an alarming rate in search of greater stability.

The retrenchment of staff in various sectors of the country is seen as part of the accelerated rate at which people leave the country, and observers argue that the ability of competent people to return to SA is highly questionable.
