The trade union Cosatu expects that the ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa to reduce the 73 member cabinet to 26 members. They also expect, that at most, six deputy ministers abe added, which will mean a total of 32 cabinet members.
Observers point out that international investors are awaiting with great seriousness and expectations for the appointment of a new cabinet.
The dramatic reduction in the cabinet, which is one of Ramaphosa’s great election promises, is going to cause serious divisions in ANC ranks. This Saturday, the ANC president will be inaugurated when an extraordinary event is held at the Loftus Stadium, where approximately 45,000 ANC supporters are expected.
Rating Agencies keep an eye on the events to see if the ANC is really serious about ruling the country out of its rubbish status.
