Over the weekend ending Sunday 13 September 2020, there were ten farm attacks in South Africa, whilst one attack was averted. On 8 September 2020, Oorgrens Veiligheid predicted that farm attacks would escalate over the weekend of Friday 11, through to Sunday 13 September 2020.
This warning was issued after the EFF staged a national destructive protest across South Africa against the Clicks group of stores. It is believed that this racially motivated protest by the EFF was a smokescreen to divert the huge media attention, both locally and internationally, that was being given to farm attacks and farm murders in the country.
There had been a number of mass peaceful protests against these atrocities that are being perpetrated on farms leading up to the EFF destruction.
The accurate warning was issued after the farm attacks against white owners suddenly came to a halt during the EFF protests with the attacks being diverted towards the farm workers.
Both the EFF and the ruling ANC government have been implicated in theses attacks.
