The ANC Minister of Tourism, Derek Hanekom, declared: “Call it what you want, but the land was originally stolen.”

He announced the blatant lie during a launch of the tourism month coming in September 2018.

He says that land reform is needed to correct the “imbalance in the country”.

He is the second minister who has nothing to do with farmers, land or agriculture, who has made statements about land. The other one was Gwede Mantashe, Minister of Mineral Affairs, who has said that white farmers should not have more than 12 000 hectares of land and that anything more than that should be given to blacks.
