THE African National Congress (ANC) government wants a future South Africa to function without the participation of whites, particularly white Afrikaners — duplicating the situation in Zimbabwe. The suffering that such a policy caused black Zimbabwean citizens, who fled to South Africa in vast numbers, is already being experienced by South Africa’s black masses.
White Afrikaner irrigation farmers can repair the water and pump systems in virtually all the townships and small towns on the platteland, where there is now no running water because the unskilled ANC cadres, who are township managers and councillors, cannot manage those water pump systems.
There are also skilled workers who can fix the sewerage problems and repair potholed roads. If only the cadres can be replaced by skilled people…
