
Shocking body camera footage (037) captured by Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) shows the aftermath of a deadly drive-by shooting in Waterloo, KwaZulu-NATAL earlier this morning.
According to RUSA, reaction officers were dispatched to Jabu Ngcobo Road at approximately 06:57 after receiving reports of an active shooting. Upon arrival, they found the lifeless body of a male victim slumped in the driver’s seat of his vehicle. Preliminary reports indicate that the victim was shot multiple times with a high-calibre weapon before crashing into a tree.
The suspects, who allegedly fled the scene in an Isuzu bakkie with an unknown registration, remain at large. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident and are appealing to the public for any information that could lead to their arrest.
The footage, which has been described as graphic, underscores the ongoing issue of gun violence in the area. Local residents have expressed concern over the rising crime rate, calling for increased police visibility and stricter law enforcement measures.
