Ice rink, obstacle course and more

Get ready for a season of fun as Melrose Arch has unveiled its enchanting winter attraction, the Melrose Arch Playground. Held in collaboration with Clamber Club, featuring an ice rink and more, this experience is set to warm hearts of all ages this school holiday.

Kids can delight in a variety of activities including a challenging obstacle course, arts and crafts corner, a jumping castle, and a soft pond play area for smaller children. To add to the excitement, a face painter will be available to bring colorful creations to life.

After all the play, kids are sure to crave something sweet and the treats are on standby waiting to be enjoyed. Indulge in Nutella, Kinder, Lotus, milk, or white chocolate crêpes from Ajay Whisks. Enjoy a signature blue and white Winterland-themed cupcake or sugar cookie, available exclusively at their Playground activation. Swirl Smashed & Rolled Ice Cream will tempt visitors with a limited edition blue and white Melrose Arch Playground flavour, featuring bubble-gum ice cream topped with candy floss and glitter.

To add to the fun, Artjamming will host a super gooey slime-making workshop, allowing kids to unleash their creativity. Greenbusters, known as “The toyshop with a difference,” will display the micro scooter, a trending toy that enhances motor skills.

The Melrose Arch Winter Playground is open every Wednesday to Sunday, from 10am to 4pm on the Piazza until Sunday, 7 July 2024, promising a magical experience for kids of all ages. Admission is R50 per child per hour or R100 for unlimited play.

For the adults, the popular Melrose Arch Market will be held in the Retail Galleria every Friday and Saturday from 10am to 3pm, offering a curated selection of goods and delectable treats.
