Game South Africa is calling on all South Africans to cele”braai”te this Heritage month and are proud to announce their official sponsorship of the National Braai Tour. Now in its sixth year, Jan Braai is ready to once again showcase the diverse beauty of South Africa, taking the Braai Tour on the road, with Game.

“The aim of the National Braai Tour aligns with the Game brand perfectly as we are proudly South African. This heritage month we are calling on all South Africans to cele”braai”te our collective heritage, to spread the message and ideals of our great nation. We celebrate the diversity of South Africa each day in our business – it’s something we value and celebrate. Our partnership with Jan Braai and the National Braai Tour allows us to bring this to life as South Africans unite around the fire, share their stories and embrace each other as fellow South Africans.” says Katherine Madley, Brand and Customer Director at Massdiscounters trading as Game and Dion Wired.

Cel”braai”ting heritage spots across South Africa, the National Braai Tour will take a break from the Garden Route, moving inland in 2019, from Cape Town through the iconic Klein Karoo, traversing the Great Karoo and towards a final destination at Gariep Dam. The 2019 National Braai Tour takes place from 7 to 14 September.

Jan Braai, the man behind the National Braai Day initiative and the National Braai Tour, says that the 240 participants can look forward to another world class week of South African scenery, heritage, daily braais, live entertainment and waving the South African flag during the country’s ultimate road trip.

“The National Braai Tour is a week where you pack your vehicle with a tent, some friends and some clothes, and set off on a great braai adventure. Once you enter the Tour, myself and my team take care of absolutely everything else, supplying participants with delicious braai ingredients, all the braai gear you can shake a tong at, wood, firelighters, drinks and more,” says Braai.

With braais taking place at least three times a day, iconic South African locations to be visited and new friends to be made, the National Braai Tour presented by Game is a road trip like no other.

This year the National Braai Tour will take participants from Cape Town through the blooming canola fields of the Overberg to Swellendam, then to the port and ostrich farms of Calitzdorp and the nearby Cango Caves. The Karoo National Park, with it’s stunning fauna and flora, and the Valley of Desolation in Graaff-Reinet will also be visited.

The Tour will culminate with new friends cele”braai”ting on the banks of the Gariep Dam, fondly recalling the experience of visiting some of the best tourist and heritage sites in South Africa.

Game customers also stand a chance to win the ultimate braai kit by buying any three products on promotion from 4 to 24 September 2019. To win they can SMS “Celebraaite”, their till slip number and their name to 40105.
