China’s Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) Platform XuetangX Raised Over¥100 million Yuan in Series B Round Funding Led by MOOC Capital

China’s massive online course platform XuetangX raised over¥100 million yuan in series B round funding led by MOOC Capital, followed by senior shareholders such as Gaorong Capital and Redpoint China Ventures. This investment will be used to strengthen the research of artificial intelligence+education and other related technologies, introduce and develop high-quality courses, and explore new online education development models.

XuetangX is a MOOC platform launched and established by Tsinghua University in October 2013. Curently XuetangX runs more than 2600 courses from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University and other world-famous universities, with more than 30 million users and over 78 million total courses selected.
