Lady D birthday drive!

Over the past two years Lady D, uKhozi FM’s mid-morning on air presenter, has utilised the celebration of her birthday to reach out to the needy and destitute by spending her special day with them. This year will be no different as orphaned children and the old aged from eThekwini will again get to spend time with Lady D and other prominent celebrities, spending time with the children, giving gifts to the old and ensuring that everyone has a super time together.

Seeing herself as a mother of the airwaves and the nation, she drives this initiative and encourages many celebrities to donate their time for the benefit of those in need.

The two day programme will host 120 orphaned children from the KZN Department of Social Development who will be brought to uShaka Marine World on Saturday, April 13th to enjoy a day comprising of a dolphin show, a visit to Africa’s largest and spellbinding aquarium, getting the opportunity to view resident penguins, seals as well as having the opportunity to have unlimited fun at Wet n Wild experiencing the slides and pools. The children will also be treated to a goodie bag and hang out with many famous Celebrities, DJ’s and Artists, some of which will be Tipcee,  Amadada,  Dladla Mshunqisi,  DJ Sox,  Malini ,  Professor,  Amanda Black,  Noma (idols),  Naima K,  Berita, amongst others.

On day 2 of the Birthday Drive, Sunday, April 14th, will be an outreach program visiting the elderly at the Tafta Old Age Home in Maoti, Inanda where Lady D and her celebrity friends and partners will spend some quality time, hosting the elderly for a tasty lunch as well as hand out gifts donated by Lady D and her team of celebrities.
