In a concerted effort by the Police in this Province to deal with serious and violent crimes affecting our communities especially on house robberies, ongoing sting joint operations targeting all the crime infested areas, are yielding positive results.
In the Modjadjiskloof Policing area outside Tzaneen, a special Joint Operation led by the Cluster Commander Major General Maggie Mathebula have made a major breakthrough at Mokgoba village outside Modjadjiskloof.
During this operation, two suspects aged were arrested following the persistent random shootings.
More arrests are still expected and the suspects will appear before the Modjadjiskloof Magistrate Court soon on various offences including possession of unlicensed firearms, ammunition without license, house robberies, house breaking and theft.
The suspects may be connected to more cases as their profiling is still unfolding.
The Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba has commended Major General Mathebula and her dedicated Team for the sterling work done.
