
OLIEVENHOUTBOSCH, GAUTENG — Emergency responders rushed to the scene of a serious Olievenhoutbosch shopping centre crash on Tuesday afternoon after a car lost control and struck pedestrians. Thanks to a rapid multi-agency response, three individuals suffering from minor to moderate injuries were stabilized on-site and transported to a local hospital.
The harrowing incident unfolded at approximately 17:21 when a CERT-SA Centurion medical crew was dispatched to a retail complex in the area. Upon arrival, paramedics found that a motorist had lost control of their vehicle, striking two people on foot before ultimately colliding with a parked car.
A total of three patients required medical attention following the impact. Emergency medical personnel conducted thorough assessments and administered immediate trauma care at the scene. Fortunately, all three victims were stabilized and confirmed to be in stable condition before being safely loaded and transported to a nearby hospital for further observation and medical treatment.
The successful management of the emergency highlighted exceptional coordination among several first responder organizations. CERT-SA Emergency Medical Services released a statement expressing their deep appreciation for the collaborative efforts on the ground. They specifically commended the seamless teamwork displayed by Vision Tactical, ER24, the Gauteng Emergency Medical Services, and the Olievenhoutbosch Community Policing Forum (CPF). This joint effort was instrumental in securing the area and ensuring that the victims received prompt, professional care.
