A comprehensive involvement of relevant stakeholders in aspects of policing became successful when Rustenburg Flying Squad arrested two suspects with assistance of a member of the Community Policing Forum (CPF).

The suspects’ arrest stems from an incident in which the member of CPF spotted a suspicious Isuzu light delivery vehicle in the early hours of 6 August 2017, in the vicinity of Boshoek near Phokeng.

The police were called and made a follow up which resulted in the arrest of the suspects aged between 28 and 35. They were found in possession of 16 goats worth R20 0000,00. The goats were positively identified by a grateful owner who stays in Moruleng village.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects are linked with other cases of stock theft.

They are expected to appear in the Bafokeng Magistrates’ Court in Tlhabane on 7 August 2017.
