A 39-year-old suspect is scheduled to appear before the Cala Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 23 February 2026, on charges of possession and dealing in drugs.
The individual was arrested on the evening of 19 February 2026 by members of the Chris Hani District Task Team. The arrest took place at the Mnxe Administration Area in Cala.
According to police reports, the suspect was found in possession of 3,351 Boss Mandrax tablets, 30 sachets of tik, and an undisclosed amount of cash. The illicit substances, with an estimated street value exceeding R300,000, were seized by law enforcement.
