Mqanduli police are appealing for information to trace a suspect following the fatal shooting of a 71-year-old woman.
The incident occurred at a house on Mankuntywana Street, Makhenkesi Township, on Saturday, January 17, between 19:00 and 20:00.
Police report that an unknown man entered the home, went to the victim’s bedroom, and shot her in the upper body. The victim’s 12-year-old granddaughter was present but was not harmed.
The motive is unknown. A murder case has been opened.
