The Northern Cape Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Peter Shivuri commended the SAPS members including officials from Customs, DENC, DAFF and SSA for executing operation Phakisa duties diligently.
The focus of the operation was to address marine related crimes, illegal mining and compliance. During the operation, undocumented persons were arrested, dagga and liquor were confiscated.
