The Deputy Minister of Finance, Sfiso Buthelezi, is accused of allowing a company that acquired a contract from Prasa to be overpaid by more than R39,9 million.
A forensic investigation by 10 audit firms showed that only 13 out of 200 Prasa contracts were legal and followed the correct procedures.
Buthelezi, of course, has denied that he misused his position by awarding contracts or that he benefited from it.
