A 17-year-old girl is scheduled to appear before the Senwabarwana Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 10 November 2025, facing a charge of attempted murder following a violent altercation in Denstaat village.
The incident occurred on the evening of Friday, 07 November 2025, at approximately 21:00 within the Alldays policing area of the Capricorn District.
According to police reports, the altercation began when the teenage suspect allegedly woke the 20-year-old female victim, who was asleep at the time. The suspect then confronted the victim about photographs she claimed to have found on her boyfriend’s cellphone.
The confrontation escalated rapidly. It is alleged that the suspect poured hot water over the victim and subsequently struck her several times on the head and face with a bottle.
The victim sustained serious injuries as a result of the attack and was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Police were summoned to the scene immediately, and a case of attempted murder was opened. The suspect was swiftly identified and arrested shortly after the incident.
The court proceedings will commence on Monday as the teenage suspect answers to the attempted murder charge.
