A delivery biker sustained a knee injury following an unexpected encounter with an aggressive dog that emerged from a residence on Heathrow Avenue in Parkgate – KZN this afternoon (Wednesday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on scene at approximately 18:22 and established that the biker was returning from a delivery when a dog suddenly darted from a property, appearing to attempt an attack. In his effort to avoid the dog, the biker lost control and fell onto his left side along with his bike.
While the bike experienced minimal damage, the biker injured his knee. Despite the injury, he managed to continue riding and complete his duties.
The biker has indicated his intention to pursue criminal charges against the dog’s owner….
