In a proactive operation leading into the Festive Season, members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) in Kimberley have arrested seven individuals in connection with a business burglary at a local post office.

The arrests occurred on Tuesday afternoon, 23 September 2025, at approximately 17:10. During routine stop and search actions in the Beaconsfield area, police officers stopped and searched a group of people.

The search led to the discovery of several items believed to be stolen from a post office within the Kimberley area. A preliminary investigation confirmed a break-in at such a facility.

The seven suspects, comprising six men and one woman aged between 25 and 32, were immediately arrested. They are facing charges of business burglary and possession of suspected stolen property.
